The story as you level is different from race to race, intriguing and consisting of a surprising depth many MMOs fail to capture. The classes are well-balanced, each having a niche, and interaction with the world feels natural, snappy, and smooth. The 'living world' aspect of the game has since shifted much of the gamer's focus to the dynamic location-based events such as world bosses and world events, which anyone can participate in freely. Before the focus of the game changed to dynamic events, players were encouraged to build strong guilds and alliances with other players to tackle difficult content such as the Fractals of the Mists and World versus World. Guild Wars 2 is an artfully-rendered game of exploration, with flowing combat, reactive dodge mechanics, and player-built roles. To defeat Zhaitan, players must gather allies and obtain powerful skills, weapons, armor in the world of Tyria. Zhaitan awaits adventurers in his lair in the Ruined City of Arah. Players will be able to level up to 80 as they adventure in the lands of Tyria, completing quests and exploring dungeons dwelled by deadly enemies.

Each race has its unique racial skills that help players perform better in combat or survival. In GW2, players will be able to build their own unique character from 5 different races including Humans, Sylvari, Asura, Norn and Charr.

Only by uniting the guild members will the people of Tyria have a chance against Zhaitan - the most powerful Elder Dragon who is bent on conquering the world. A hero must journey on a dangerous quest to unite the members of the adventuring guild, Destiny's Edge.

Deep beneath the earth, five Elder Dragons have awoken and are now causing mass destruction in the lands. Guild Wars 2 takes players into the mythical world of Tyria where its people are plagued by war and chaos.
